Get the personal attention you deserve and want. I offer private lessons on any aspect of wildlife and nature photography. Whether a guided session to a great place along the Colorado Front Range is desired, lessons on how to use a camera, portfolio reviews either in-person or online, or instruction on Photoshop, a First Light private class is what you're looking for.
Depending on the time of year subjects include wildlife, landscapes or wildflowers and many locations can be chosen from, including Rocky Mountain National Park, Mount Evans, Garden of the Gods or even the Denver Botanic Gardens or one of several great landscape or wildflower areas along the Front Range of Colorado. All field sessions include hands-on help in the field as well as discussions of behavior and seasonal adaptations of the subject. Certain locations will have a gas supplement added and payable at the start of the session.
In addition to getting you to the right spot, techniques will take you to the next level with your photography. The best way to learn is in the field with a camera in your hand from a seasoned photographer. Andy Long has been leading workshops and teaching photography since 1994 and is more than willing and able to help anyone get better with their camera, no matter what you want to take photos of.
These sessions cost $60 per hour for one person with a two-hour minimum. A four-hour session costs $225 and an eight-hour session costs $420. A second person is $50 extra. Price does not include accommodations or meals for participants. Contact first about date availability before making a payment. For further locations in the state, hotel fees for the leader are also added.
