Louvre and Pyramid at night
Louvre and Pyramid at Night

Aaahhh, Paris. What a great destination for an unforgettable travel photography workshop featuring four nights in Paris, the City of Lights, and two in Versailles. Put on your walking shoes as we will join the locals in doing a bit of walking and bus rides around this amazinng Old World town with some of the most amazing architectural and travel and night photography to be found anywhere. Some Uber will also be taken - let's do it like the French.

With this being the City of Lights, most nights will be spent going from one beautiful spot to another. We will do the Eiffel Tower from several angles, the Louvre and Pyramid, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe and more. Who knows, we may end up at the Moulin Rouge for an evening of festivities.

Some of the chapels we will go into will astound you with the architecture that flourished hundreds of years ago and still looks the same today as it did then. When you walk into the upper level of one you will be surrounded by a stained glass masterpiece, the most stained glass in a room anywhere in the world.

The ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower has been closed for several years but we can get part way up for a beautiful view of the city. We need to get here early or the lines could be really long.

We will also take an hour train ride to spend a couple of nights at the Palace of Versailles. Between the gardens and the palace this will be a spot you will remember going to for years.

In Paris, part of one day will be set aside for a visit to the Louvre and Orsay Museums. The architecture in both buildings is as amazing as the artwork. Who can go to Paris and not visit two of the most famous museums in the world? Photography is now allowed here but must be without flash or tripods. When we visit, we will set a time to meet outside so people can move around on their own and see the exhibits they prefer. Many of the churches and museums do not allow a tripod inside but one will be needed for our night shooting.

During the day, these spots as well as Rue Cler, Le Marais, Luxembourg Gardens, Rodin Museum and Place des Vosges will be photographed in addition to several other wonderful sights. Street scenes of corner cafes are a must in a city that has one at just about every corner. Realize you will be walking a good bit and on a few crowded buses but this is the best way to get from one spot to another. We will take private transport when we can.

The trip wraps up with two nights in Versailles where we will stay right next to its famous Palace and Gardens. We will have most of one day for a Palace tour and another day for roaming around and photographing the gardens and exterior of the Palace. From here it a ride to the airport and departures home with lots of great images and memories to take with you.
